For those considering vagino/vulvaplasty GRS…
You’re going to hear a lot of talk about losing the ability to pee standing up. A lot. Doctors, psychologists, friends, hell maybe even you surgeon. Men and women.
Everyone is gonna say “you won’t be able to pee standing up” because apparently it’s like really important or whatever. You might second-guess the choice because of it because you pee multiple times a day.
I want to suggest a different framing. Think of it this way:
Multiple times a day, you will sit down and be reminded that you have a vulva.
If you are drinking as much as you should, then as much as every hour you will go into a room by yourself and giggle happily that you have a vulva.
And if having to sit to pee is an issue, I haven’t noticed it, because I’m too busy giggling.
