Russian propagandist Dmitry Rode has stated that Russia is "at war with Europe" and framed the current conflict as part of what he described as a thousand-year-long confrontation between Russia and European states.

Rode said that Russia’s vision of victory has not changed since 2022 and claimed that the only acceptable outcome would be the Russian flag over Berlin. According to him, Russia has "already taken Berlin three times" - in 1760, 1813, and 1945
