Z80はZilogという会社の製品です。
Intelの8080を大幅に拡張して便利な命令が多数搭載された8ビットCPUでした。
8ビットパソコンの時代の代表的CPUで、互換CPUも色々作られています。
ちなみに任天堂ゲームボーイのCPUもZ80(というよりは8080)から機能を大幅に削った独自のものが使われていましたね。
MSXturboRで搭載されたR800がZ80界(？)では最速クラスになるのかと思います。
