@catsaladCat 🐈🥗 (D.Burch) ⁠ @SpaceLifeForm I was around for a debate which proposed that pi should be redefined as “3,” the main argument for which was — quite appealingly — that the unlimited nature of the additional digits was a drain on the academic community’s time and energy, as well as just being ‘annoying’ and ‘imprecise.’

It was hard not to vote in favour of it.
