Because it's being shoved down everybody's throats.
It is the most marketed and advertised product in history. For the last three years all the media kept pushing one piece after another about how wonderful it is. Of course people went to try it!

That's an accounting trick intended to make you think it's bigger than it actually is.
That's not $10B/year, that's $10B "annualized revenue". If you're selling cookies on the street, and on town festival day your stall was especially successful and you sold $100 worth of cookies: now you can brag that you have $36.5k in "annualized revenue", even if outside of the town festival you only sell one $10 box per year.

And that's before we even get to the fact that this company is deeply unprofitable, that its operating expenses vastly exceed its revenue: that is, the more users and the more revenue it has, the more money it loses.
