Every time I look at (US Insurance) explanation of benefits and see shit like
$2000 billed by doctor
$200 allowed charges by insurance
$0 paid by insurance (because deductible or something)

So basically, the people who get REALLY fucked are the cash pay patients, but also, the insurance pays very little of the final bill. So the only point of the insurance in the first place is to keep from paying the absurd cash pay price? I don't understand. US healthcare fucks you no matter what you do.
