It's been a while since I was actively excited about a new computer.

I'm actively excited about the @mntmnminute Reform Next.

It's Open, repairable, modular, and looks cool af in its raw aluminum (I GUESS you can also get it in a brilliant aubergine or black).

It runs off replaceable, standard LiFePO4 cells & you can mod it with other battery chemistries without changing the charging board.

The modularity is really approaching LEGO/Eurorack/ISO bike standarrd levels.

Inside the case of the lappy. A hand with gold-polished nails installs a small PCB into the grid that’s milled into the bottom case so you can put your own PCBs in there. The raw aluminum case makes me sweaty in a good way. It’s a 13” screen, which is small for me, but I want to be able to carry it around more readily than my 15” laptop, anyway.
I also like its chunky, geometric aesthetic.
