The weather forecast for the day said rain from dusk until dawn with medium wind, no sunlight. There was a time when I would have stayed on the couch, just to get sad in the evening because I did not take any photos. Sure, a bit of sunlight would be nice, but on the other hand you get nicer color and don't have to spend time fixing blown out skies. I even was lugging the tripod around, although I'm more of a freehand photographer. I didn't use it for this image, it's somewhere around ISO2000, but it doesn't matter much when you have a lot of natural noise aka fog.
But the best thing about these days when the Jack Wolfskin crowd stays at home: It feels like having the whole world to yourself. I was out for about 4 hours and met one hiker. We smiled and nodded at each other. ☺️
