I encourage people who actually get submissions like this: simply say "Hey, this code looks generated and doesn't look like it's actually been thoroughly reviewed by a person. Please go fix all of the obvious errors from the AI before you submit AI generated code onto a mailing list, and I'll be happy to review your work at that point."
it's not unfair, and the more people who respond with refrains like this the less out of line it is. Don't just think about what code you are willing to deal with, think about the time your coworkers around you also have to spend and whether they want anything to do with this or not. Have each other's backs.
The software industry is insanely desperate at this point to force people into using these tools and depending on them so they can deskill workers, but they literally cannot do anything if we just stand together and don't use these things. AI isn't inevitable, we aren't close to that.
