I got a text from some organization I never heard of that is promoting bills currently in the state legislature to enable voting over the Internet/by mobile devices/whatever.
This sounds like a great idea but in practice it would require a system of secure national digital IDs which we don’t have (and won’t get). Anyone who says we can or should do internet voting in America under current circumstances is lying to you.
