generalized US legal question: If you don't have a lawyer, and there might come a time in the future when you might want to attend a protest, how would you go about choosing/finding a lawyer you might call if you needed to make a phone call to your lawyer? Is there a particular specialization to look for, or some kind of find-a-lawyer list, or what? Or do you just rely on a public defender to be available?

You should write the NLG phone number on your body with a sharpie if you are worried about legal trouble at a protest.
