Not a rant per se, but tending that way.

If someone requests to Follow me, but:

• their profile, though not blank, nonetheless tells me nothing useful
• their history, though they joined Fedi some years ago, comprises 100% Boosts, ie, not a single solitary original public thought
• they've never previously interacted in any way with me, except for a single Like moments before the Follow Request

then i'm simply going to Reject the F/R.

I can envisage potential realities where all three dotpoints above exist yet there is zero malice in the FR. However i can also envisage potential realities where malice is explicitly the intent. If you give me no reason to eliminate that possibility, it's always going to be the option this depressed glass-half-empty misanthropic gal is going to presume.
