Here we go again...

Spotify are increasing their subscription rates. It is reported that the price for Spotify premium individual will increase from 10.99 to 11.99 € per month.

Now we could say: Well that's just one Euro, so who cares? But it was also just a Euro in 2023, when they increased the rates the last time. Once again, this shows us that we shouldn’t become too dependent on streaming services. Sure, they’re incredibly convenient, and for just a few euros a month you get access to a massive library of music. But once we get used to that, it’s easy for the price to go up—by one euro, maybe even two or three. Will we notice when it finally hurts? Maybe it’s not such a bad idea to start ripping our CDs again and storing the music ourselves. Or is that just being petty?

Btw. anyone remembers when Amazon Prime was available for 29 € per year? (Okay, it was just free shipping at this time, but for me, it was enough...)
