From min 1:47 there's a five min explanation of what is actually happening in Iran. I selected Esteban Carrillo and Sima Itayim from The Cradle for their succinct and exhaustive analysis.

My note: The riots in Iran have been orchestrated by US-Israel (they're one entity). Israel is outright admitting that Mossad is involved.
It's what the US did in Libya in 2011 and in Syria for 13 years. Same playbook in Iran.

According to The Cradle, Haaretz, Citizen Lab and Social Forensic investigated the Israeli influence targeting Persian language social media. Entire networks of fake accounts pushing fake stuff, deep fakes, fabricated reports...they don't just divulge content, they incite unrest.
In particular, Persian twitter is one of the most heavily manipulated online spheres. Around 95%, 95% of so called "pro-monarchy" account on X are fake.
That's a lot.
