A wonderful chance to capture a flame robin (Petrocia phoenica) beating a caterpillar to death against a fallen branch.

I was trying to figure out what the birds were that I was seeing in large flocks flying around me as I was hiking. Now looking at the field guide, I realise they were probably also flame robins, apparently the only Australian robin that gathers in flocks.
