@girlonthenet @stuart_cbStuart No, you're right. Some people are so desperate to achieve a certain milestone by a certain age that they'll pick someone, anyone, who vaguely resembles their likes instead of searching for the perfect partner.

It feels... sad. For both parties involved.

And it reminds me of people who convince themselves that better isn't possible, that they can't change, that they can't become the person they truly want to be...
