Astounding vol. 44, no. 6 (February 1950)

I love his expression, the lighting and the mystery of what's going on in the background behind him. The whole thing conveys noble, heroic emotions without saying anything at all.

Is Hubbard's stuff any good, as science fiction? I've never read any and don't really intend to.
