*looking at the state of software gradually turning into AI shit* it should never have been called software engineering. If a civil engineer vibe-architectured a bridge they would be thrown in jail. Engineering has standards that software developers blatantly disregard as "a hindrance" and the entire profession should be shamed into raising its standards.
