I wasn't going to say anything because I worried it might seem a bit performative and maybe not my place, but I want to say something. I was really rocked to find out about the death of @n69n. I didn't know them other than to chat on Fedi, but they were really important to me when I was first diagnosed (and gave some excellent guidance and reassurance), and checked in on me when I was hospital recently and once or twice when I was feeling low. We said some daft things to each other and made each other laugh and they said they were glad to have me as a friend. And when someone says something like that to me it's like a switch gets flipped in my head. Which is why when I'd not heard from them for a while I went looking to see what they were upto and assumed they were just having a break for whatever reason. So it was a shock. I know some of you knew them and my heart goes out to you. They made a material difference to me and my life, as I'm sure they must have done to plenty of other people. Please don't respond to this. I just wanted people to know I thought Norn was a warm, kind and funny person and that I will miss them. X
