status update. So, despite some obvious issues with Whittakers run, I ended up quite enjoying it. I wanted so desperately to love it, but.... I didn't I'm afraid. I know there are people that will think those who don't like Whittaker are just cross about her being not a man, but I just struggled with it. I fucking hated the Sontarans and thought the swerve in storyline was a bad choice (although appreciate it was necessary) and that long run at the end with the Grand Serpent I thought was a bit shit. Sorry! I also didn't love Tennants return although it had promise and whilst I like the choice of Gatwa.....what is happening with The Giggle and The Maestro (I'm not even going to talk about the singing goblins). I weirdly didn't mind Neil P-H this time around, but the whole pantheon of gods thing is wrong for me. I also hated Space Babies. Fuck those babies. And their stupid snot monster. I hope it improves. So far I am furious. Maybe I am ageing out of the Dr Who target audience? I accept I could just be too old to appreciate its change in direction? But that is impossible because I am eternally young and vital.
