There's this notion of "deskilling" when people use AI to do their work for them.

It's honestly something I've always been worried about, even before the current AI trend.

I've always had this deep fear of being too reliant on some specific app or tool, and instead always try to develop the fundamental skills to get the results I want from any tool.

It's why I approached JS frameworks like Angular and React with caution from the beginning. It's why I don't use a CSS libraries like Bootstrap or Tailwind.

I don't want to be an expert at some product. I want to be an expert in the fundamental technologies that underpin such products.

I only want to use products if I can swap them out for another one without breaking everything, because deep down I don't trust any of them.
