#nvidia New Feature Branch (NFB) of #GPU #driver 590.48.01 now landed onto #FreeBSD #ports latest (aka main) branch at commit b4e7c457571f6241f3a4cf4cbff0db5160f03eeb.

For users of GPUs older than Turing generation of architectures that are using -devel variant, this new version drops support for your old GPUs. See UPDATING entry dated 20260103 (included in the commit above).

And fix for change in default on main (aka 16-Current) branch of base OS also landed following the above as commit 1587486a39ecf579cc59f878a75faef823441e2b.

As new quarterly 2026Q1 is not yet branched when these land, 2026Q1 should have both from the beginning.
