I respect the GameTank project's "moxie" but $299 is kind of a lot considering I can (did) get a Mister for half that and I can also plug a $30 ice40 FPGA directly into VGA and synthesize a simple riscv chip on it. Just like. I don't know. I don't know.

Anyway the GameTank project got funded, so if you are able to budget two hundred and ninety nine US dollars for a non-fantasy fantasy console, you have 24 hours to get in on that first manufacturing batch

@mcc i had this conversation with @mogwai_poetJim Stormdancer last week, which basically was - why Gametank versus <everything else>. He is into Gametank. I am already working on Agon Light stuff. I use the cheapest Agon Light 2 board but there is a more finished, Gametank-like Console8 design already: heber.co.uk/agon-cosole8/

We ended up talking about, uh, size of userbase. Which is small for all of them. Even targeting original retro platforms, it's small. I found some site claiming to have sales figures for C64 Ultimate and it was in the tens of thousands.
