East winds persist through Tuesday with gusts peaking near 55 mph this afternoon along the Eastern Beaufort Sea Coast and near 40 mph at Utqiagvik. This will result in blowing snow which will bring visibility below 1 mile at times. Locally dense fog is also present along the coast and will persist through Tuesday.
