..Middle Yukon River Breakup Status...
The river is open from the Nowitna through Galena with the exception of a small (<1 mile) section of thermally degraded in place ice at Big Eddy.
At Galena, water levels dropped a few feet overnight. As of Saturday morning, a thin run of very small pans and slush was flowing by. Ice is currently flowing through Bishops Rock, and is currently running from Koyukuk to Nulato. As of Friday night the ice downstream of Nulato was still in place but had shown signs of lifting and thermal degradation.
Flood threat remains low.
