oh brilliant apparently Ð (U+00D0, Eth) and Đ (U+0110, Letter D with stroke) are different characters :blobCat_eyes:

And according to wikipedia, Ð is used in Old Norse, while Đ is used in a bunch of other languages like Northern Sami
