Developers: what do you always wish designers knew or did when you’re working together?
Is there anything that really frustrates you? Something one designer did that made your work easier?
I’m exploring some ideas for a talk, but as someone who does a bit of both design and frontend, I don’t have much insight into more separate roles…
@lauraLaura Kalbag Mostly for me it’s about whether designers have a good grasp of what’s cheap and what’s expensive in the medium of the web when it comes to performance:
Fonts: in print, use as many as you want but on the web that gets weighty
Colours: expensive in print, cheap as chips on the web
Want gradients on a website? No problem!
Want a customised drop-down or date picker? Gonna cost ya
