We explored a trail in Rendija Canyon yesterday and discovered a substantial arch across the canyon. Definitely need to try to get there some time. We already knew about the tent rocks down in Rendija (visible on the cliff face in the wider-angle photo). They're unusual tent rocks, made of conglomerate cobbles rather than solid tuff or pumice.

A photo of a rock arch taken from across a canyon. Standing on top of a ridge, the arch is a big rectangular flat-topped chunk of rock with a passageway through the bottom of it right in the center. It looks like it's made of two layers, a lighter one below and a darker one above. It has a small tree growing on its flat top. The ridge it's on is steep and covered with pinons and junipers.Looking across a canyon at a tree-covered ridge. On top of the ridge, centered in the photo, is a rectangular flat-topped rock where you can just barely see a sliver of blue sky through a hole in the bottom center. The ridge slopes down to a vertical cliff, where you can barely make out a collection of hoodoos or "tent rocks" on the face of the cliff. We're looking into the sun, which is just above the top of the photo, as you can tell from the colorful sun flare at the top. The sky is clear blue.
