At around noon on April 14 2025, AmerĀica ceased to have a law-abidĀing govĀernĀment. Some would argue that had already happened on JanuĀary 20, when DonĀald Trump was inaugĀurĀated. On Monday, however, Trump chose to ignore a 9-0 Supreme Court rulĀing to repatĀriĀate an illegĀally deporĀted man. He even claimed the judges ruled in his favour. The US presĀidĀent’s middle finĀger to the court was echoed by his attorĀney-genĀeral, secĀretĀary of state, vice-presĀidĀent and El SalĀvador’s vigilĀante presĀidĀent Nayib Bukele. The latĀter is playĀing host to what resembles an embryonic US gulag.

…. Trump’s team nodĀded when Bukele said he would not conĀsider returnĀing the wrongly deporĀted, KilĀmar Armando Abrego GarĀcia. All baseĀlessly agreed GarĀcia was a terĀrorĀist.… AmerĀica’s govĀernĀment pays greater respect to a forĀeign strongĀman than its own Supreme Court.
