A wake
In the State of Mexico, the Mazahua refuse to give up customs such as pjoxte (mutual aid), illustrated here by the community meeting of mourning. Upon returning from a funeral, after a long walk, everyone takes a seat to eat what the neighbors and friends of the deceased have prepared.
