Sweden calls on Israel to allow medical evacuations from Gaza to occupied West Bank
According to WHO, evacuations to the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, is one of the fastest and most effective routes. Together with 25 other donors, Sweden calls on Israel to allow patients from Gaza to receive the necessary medical treatment there.
More than two dozen countries have signed a joint statement, initiated by Denmark, calling for the restoration of the medical corridor and urging Israel to lift restrictions on deliveries of medicine and medical equipment to Gaza in line with international law.
The signatories also offered to provide financial contributions, medical staff and equipment needed to treat patients in the West Bank.
