“We have nothing left. Everything is gone,” Afrianti told Al Jazeera. “We have only the clothes on our backs. We couldn’t bring anything else.

“When it happened, the water came into the house. We were afraid so we fled. When we came back, the house was gone.”

Only a single wall remains from the family home, surrounded by debris.
