Balint said there was no legal justification for the invasion and expressed outrage that Congress had not been briefed, including the Democratic leader, Hakeem Jeffries, and the relevant committees.
She warned the move was dangerous not only for Venezuela and the wider region, but also for the US’s moral standing globally.
