More than 18,500 need medical treatment abroad, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

On Monday, the first day that Gaza’s Rafah crossing was reopened, only five Palestinian patients were allowed to leave the Strip for treatment abroad. Yesterday, another 16 were allowed to leave.
