The Tonkin snub-nosed monkey, one of our rarest primates, has a global population of only about 250. Happily, a new survey of one of its main habitats in a Vietnamese forest has found that its numbers are stable, with a few infants sighted outside of the usual breeding season – giving rise to hopes that it may be on the rebound.
