Another reason I'm on Blacksky more these days is because I can actually be angry and still talk to people in the midst of it because there's more space for Black folks to be human there.

There's always this pearl clutching moment in the fedi when I express anger about something because if I'm not perfectly calm and collected all the time, it's automatically 'bad' because, of course, Black folks should be amenable in the face of constant violent oppression.

Of course there are white people who still try to do the 'angry' thing on there, but it's not a big deal because there are more people who understand why I'm pissed and don't try to downplay it for the sake of conversation.

The fedi still doesn't know how to deal with Black rage if it doesn't come in a neatly manicured box with a bow.
