The other day, someone online “accused” me of writing a religion with my Philosophy of Balance.
I don’t know if there are others who feel the same way, so I think this is something I want to address: Yes, the Philosophy of Balance is intended to help people find God, Love, Nature, Spirituality, or whatever word works for you. No, I don’t think that implies I’m writing a religion.
If I were writing a religion, I would need to prescribe people how to think and behave. And this is where things may become contentious, because as part of the Philosophy of Balance I’m even proposing a framework of morality. But this framework is not a prescription, it’s an invitation. If you really want to interpret that as a religion, I’ll tell you that it’s a democratic one, because I believe everyone should be free to find their own spiritual truth.
I don’t want to write a religion. But I am an author and if you want me to, hopefully I can be a good listener too.
I’ll let you be the judge of that. But if you feel the need, I also want you to feel free to direct your thoughts or dilemmas towards the Philosophy of Balance, and maybe I can help in some way. That’s what this philosophy is intended for after all.
