I don't know (or maybe I do), but I can tell you that my diverse group of queer & disabled friends don't act like that. Actually, we've specifically, consciously chosen not to.

It's one thing to be frustrated about people behaving in damaging ways & building cultures of destruction around themselves. It's another to write off people as a whole because you won't take the trouble to find other people living other ways.

He's surrounded himself his whole life with these right wing voices: people who complain & complain & complain, but never, ever solve things through personally, consciously trying to make the world better.

And now he's tired of that, but he can't quite understand that us "woke" people are actually making our lives better by the things we choose to participate in & the ways we interact with each other.

It's like he thinks no one has ever tried alternative ways to be & live.
