The Virtual Boy is the most overrated system of all time.

Most people claim to hate it. Yet many still insist it was great despite never using one. The library was tiny. Only 24 games were released, and most were not good.

Platforms with larger and stronger libraries include:

  • Nokia N-Gage
  • Atari Jaguar
  • Ouya
  • PalmOS
  • iPod classic

All these platforms have a larger—and higher quality—library than the Virtual Boy.

Just to give you an idea of how overrated the Virtual Boy is, the iPod Classic had 32 official games released for it—which is eight more than the Virtual Boy.

Among the titles released for the iPod Classic:

  • Sonic the Hedgehog
  • Asphalt 4
  • Bejeweled
  • Peggle
  • Ms. Pac-Man

These five games are collectively better than the Virtual Boy’s entire library.
