I guess it's probably always been obvious to a lot of people, but lately it's just become ridiculous that people use the term "leader" to describe a politician. These people are followers, and laggardly ones at that. The people of Minnesota have done more against the Trump regime than Schumer has ever even considered in his entire life.
When people were sounding the alarm bells at the start of the year, what was Schumer doing? Promoting his book tour and voting for cloture on the continuing resolution measure, effectively keeping the government open and paving the way for the infamous ICE/DHS funding bill, making them one of the most well funded paramilitaries in the entire world

And how many disappearances and bodies have piled up since then? How many have been kidnapped? These people aren't "leaders". Fuck them. They follow the money until it becomes blindingly obvious that they're fucking up by doing so (people striking or threatening to strike, protests that cannot be so easily ignored) at which point they spend all their energy crafting words and bills that they think will soothe the raw nerves of the people without actually saying "no" to the moneyed interests.
Schumer may be in a position of authority and have power, but he's not a leader. Fuck that whole idea.
