given how much discourse "rust doesn't support targeting X old platform" generates, i'm a bit surprised there haven't been serious efforts to transpile rust to C. especially because either "crust" or "rustic" would both be perfect project names

@joeJoe Groff I know of https://github.com/AeneasVerif/eurydice which has set out to do something of the sort. Not sure how big of a subset of the language it supports, but it has been used already "for Mozilla's NSS library" according to their README
