Surprising how much toxicity has been normalized in a lot of places, that the job of people like me has become “how to make engineers feel safe so they can be productive”. The reality is, you cannot expect innovation from people who are forced to look over their shoulders, unsure whether they will be supported or thrown under the bus the next time they make a mistake.
