Was playing in the back yard with my almost 4yo daughter earlier today and we got ambushed by three raccoons growling and charging to within 4 feet of us before turning around and jumping over the fence into the neighbor's yard.

They've lived in the tree behind our yard for a while and usually keep their distance so this was somewhat concerning.

First step will probably be disposing of the can of expired pepper spray from years ago that I had been meaning to take to the next household hazmat event. Instead, I'm gonna squirt it along the top of the fence they like to climb over in hopes it'll convince them to go somewhere else. If that doesn't chase them away we may have to get an exterminator involved or something.
