The 10 years of "temporary border controls" which have been renewed by Sweden every six months towards Denmark since the start to obstruct refugees in 2015 does, according to a new report from the "Greater Copenhagen" organization (https://www.greatercph.com/en) wherein 85 municipalities and four regions (=counties) cooperate across the Öresund/Øresund strait where the Sweden/Denmark-border is, in pure economic terms cost 510000 hours per year stuck on the train for work-commuters, 47 million crowns in socio-economic losses per year, while they say that according to the police only 0.03% of those controlled in the area lacked valid ID, and furthermore is "possibly" (diplomatic language) in violation of the EU's rules as border controls are only allowed to be imposed and extended within the EU's Schengen-area at "urgent imminent crisis".
