This Fediverse server is not a public service - it’s my home, i operate every account hosted on it. That means i might choose not to allow your server to federate with mine: i do not welcome everyone in my home.

There is no formal process about whom I disallow into my home, but in particular, i do not federate with:

• Neo-nazis, US conservatives, white nationalists, queerphobes, antisemites, Islamophobes, and similar scum i don’t feel the need to list one by one.
• Facebook’s Threads
• Shitposters who go over the line - i know where the line is
• Servers that do not honor edits, deletes, or privacy scopes
• Servers that host adult material featuring underage characters, even if entirely fictional
• Any voluntary source, present and past, of the “Bad Space” blocklist to keep my primarily transgender audience safe from harassment
• Servers that platformed death threats in the past (e.g, scholar(.)social or hachyderm(.)io)
• Tech servers with staff strongly associated to reactionary politics (e.g. fosstodon(.)org, linuxrocks(.)online)
• Small, single-user instances hosting someone i wish to personally block
