With zfs alone, when creating recursive snapshots of a dataset, I still need to send all child datasets within that snapshot separately (if I do not want to use -R for a full replica), as far as I know. Does Zelta use multiple zfs send commands internally for recursion?

This can be handy for mixed "trees" that need different properties in different contexts—like recompressing non-encrypted datasets while securely sending encrypted ones—which --replicate can't do.If you have a fediverse account, you can quote this note from your own instance.
