If it is okay for the US to kill survivors, does that mean its okay to execute wounded US soldiers found on a battlefield or POWs?
The Law of War prohibition against killing those who are "hors combat" (out of action) protects the lives of Americans. If we violate that law, we can't complain when others do the same.
It is in our interest for the US to respect and follow the Laws of War.
