Mocking someone for the mistake they made in the code is NOT how you make a good argument.

Even if you think you have a good intent.

The damage you do by this outweighs any good which could possibly come from your "winning" in that particular discussion.

Making mistakes in public, acknowledging them and correcting them - it is how FOSS is done. It is the main thing which makes FOSS possible.
