The advice I give often:

Remember that a job interview is not the same as an exam at the uni.

The purpose of the job interview is not to find the gaps in the knowledge of the person interviewed. Everyone has them, no matter the level.

The goal is to learn what skills and knowledge the person has.

And then to decide if those skills and knowledge fit the job.

And the advice works for both - person interviewed, and person doing the interview.
