The solarpunk thread I posted yesterday (climatejustice.social/@breadan) elicited some interesting reactions, with at least one commenter suggesting that punks and anarchists can’t *possibly* contribute anything constructive or beneficial to civilized society.

So today this cartoon seems appropriate…

Seven-panel comic strip depicting a reactionary response to the premise of anarchism. Two wealthy-looking men in long coats and top hats say the following as they observe the actions of anarchists:

OH NO, ANARCHISTS!

OH NO! THEY ARE CONSTRUCTING A SOCIETY BASED ON MUTUAL AID!

OH NO! THEY ARE ABOLISHING PROPERTY RELATIONS AND TREATING EVERYONE AS EQUALS!

OH NO! THEY ARE ENSURING EVERYONE'S NEEDS ARE MET THROUGH COOPERATION!

OH NO! THEY ARE LIBERATING WOMEN! THIS IS THE LAST STRAW, SOMEONE CALL THE POLICE!

When the police come, they handcuff a woman and beat up the anarchists.

THAT WILL SHOW THESE DAMN VIOLENT ANARCHISTS TO NOT DISRUPT PEACEFUL, CIVIL SOCIETY!
